The greatest scripts come from great ideas however, few scripts begin as great scripts. Screenwriting is a "process" of critical writing and rewriting. Matching these ideas with tried and true expertise of professionals that know character development, story structure and drama makes all of the difference. Nightshade Studios wants to provide aspiring new writers the opportunity to see their work become a completed motion picture.
Whether you're a seasoned professional or an aspiring new writer looking for your shot, Nightshade Studios wants to be your last stop on the road to success. If you're willing to listen and work with our staff, we're willing to help you succeed. To do this we've set up several methods to building your ideas into cinematic success. Recently, we have re-launched our screenplay coverage service. This service is provided as a way of getting your script through the "gatekeepers". Almost ALL film companies have "gatekeepers". Nightshade Studios is no exception. These are the people that block 99% of scripts from getting made. A Gatekeeper is someone that will receive your screenplay submissions and route out all of the screenplays that are poorly prepared and not ready for serious consideration. The purpose of this system is to narrow down the scope of material that companies need to review. It is also used as a means to sort out the writers that are willing to take the time to learn their craft and take their careers seriously. As an added bonus to our Screenplay Coverage Service, all of our clients are given special consideration when submitting a screenplay to us for production consideration. If your material has made it through the service, it cannot be flagged by our gatekeepers. In fact, it won't even go through our gatekeepers. It will go directly to our development department for review and consideration. Other sources for writers will soon be available as well. The company already hosts a support forum for writers but it's also planning to host seminars and workshops to help writer's hone their craft and become a source for material for years to come. It's a win-win relationship that we hope will grow and become fertile. |
