Nightshade Studios is dedicated to working with independent filmmakers. From Indie Producers with finished films to aspiring Directors looking for their break, Nightshade wants to be your last stop.

Aside from it's own internal producers, directors and writers, Nightshade Studios is always looking for new talents and new material to develop, produce or distribute. Nightshade Studios knows that a media company is only as strong as it's resources. The larger our catalog, the more films we'll be able to offer. The larger our talent pool, the better our chances of increasing our catalog.

Quality media and entertainment material is extremely difficult to find. The market is flooded with quantity but severely lacking in quality. It seems everyone with a computer believes they are a filmmaker today. Websites which allow one to upload their own homemade films are becoming increasingly more abundant, yet the quality of those films is in rapid decline.

While we are a company that is always looking for material, we are not one of these sites. You can't simply send us a video of someone dancing in front of a video camera. You can't send us a video of news footage that's been edited to appear like something else. We are not interested in a home video of someone doing a pile-driver off a roof. It's not something that we are interested in nor is the public. If you did send it, don't expect it returned...expect it burned.

You CAN, however, send us your professionally prepared, commercially viable low to medium budget feature motion pictures and short films.

Independent filmmakers know that their success depends on distribution. The sad truth is that 95% of all films created each year will NEVER be seen by an audience of value. By this we mean an audience consisting of more than a group of family or friends.

This is where Nightshade Studios comes in.

For completed projects, simply submit a copy of the material to us for review. If the material is exceptional or meets a need for one of the markets we service, nationwide distribution may only be a contract away.

For projects you're planning, we will not be able to help you finance a project. The only projects we do finance are “in house” projects. We will, however, be able to review a project proposal and advise you on whether or not the project is commercially viable. This would, in a sense, provide you with a potential approval for distribution before you even begin raising money for your film projects. Project proposals should also make financing easier as the biggest obstacle with financing is whether or not a film will get picked up for distribution. If we greenlight a project, the only thing that could prevent us from picking it up would be poor quality work by the filmmaker.
